Download SAS and JMP Software

IT Connect > Software & Hardware > UWare > SAS Statistical Package

Do not reinstall the application if you already have SAS installed and only need to renew the license.

To renew the license file for SAS v.9.4, do the following:

1. Download the SID file from the appropriate table on this page and save it on your computer.
2. Close SAS, if the application is open.
3. In Windows select Start | All Programs | SAS | Utilities | Renew SAS Software.
4. Right-click Renew SAS Software and select Run As Administrator. If a User Access Control dialog box appears, click "Allow".
5. Browse to the SAS installation data (SID) file saved on your machine. Select the file and click Open.
6. Click Next. Verify the operating system and SAS products and then click OK.
7. Click Renew. If the license renewal is successful, the following message is displayed: The setinit was successfully applied.

Installation Information

The installer package is large. Download may take a long time depending upon speed and quality of your connection to the network.

IMPORTANT (!) - You may want to consider using 7-Zip utility http://www.7-zip.org/ to extract the content of the package.

When finished extracting, open the resultant folder and execute Setup.exe.

Carefully read documentation included in the package prior to installation.

SID file in the table will open in the web browser. You may need to right click the file and select "SAVE LINK AS" to download it to your computer.

How to install JMP for Windows.

1. Download JMP compressed(zipped) folder.
2. Extract content into a folder
3. Navigate to JMP > JMP_Pro > 17_0 > Windows
4. Double-click jmppro__1700__win.exe file to begin installation.

How to apply your SID file (SAS installation data file) to renew your JMP Software.

• Save the appropriate SID file from the table below on your computer. You may need to right-click the file and select to save.



If your JMP license is past your expiration date, the first screen you see at JMP launch is a message that your JMP license is expired.

1. Click Open License.
2. At the prompt, navigate to where you saved the SID file in Step 1.
3. Click Open.
4. Optionally enter an Administrator Name and Department if you desire.
5. Click OK.



If your JMP license has not expired, you must start the renewal process manually.

1. From the File menu, select New > Script to open a script window.
2. Enter this line: renew license();
3. From the Edit menu, select Run Script.
4. In the resulting Renew Your JMP License window, click Open License.
5. At the prompt, navigate to where you saved the SID file in Step 1.
6. Click Open.
7. Optionally enter an Administrator Name and Department if you desire.
8. Click OK.
